Spring is advancing, slowly, here. Nighttime temps are still in the 30°s F, but there is plenty of plant activity in the yard!
Frontyard flowers

Daffodils by the driveway.

Scillas under the crab apple tree.
Backyard flowers

Forsythia. We’ve had terrible luck growing these otherwise prolific shrubs until this last purchase a couple of years ago.

Daffodils (these are fenced off from the pup due to their toxicity).

One of the three rose shrubs we planted.
Blueberries!

Backyard. These have been slow to establish, and may or may not get netting this year.

Frontyard. I have cages for these three once they set fruit. The birds are less of a problem than the chippies.
Random

A new gate I put in the backyard fence to make it easier to get the lawn tractor and cart behind the house.

Wild ivy that has begun appearing around the property.

Daffodils by the pups’s graves.
Finally, the garden.

Planted in May, 2022, the newest asparagus bed is showing activity! That’s a deer hoof print nearby; the deer have finally decided they can jump the fence and explore here.
