Photos: South Lot

These pictures mostly show the south lot. See the House Yard, South Lot, Savanna and Prairie Garden, and Back Toward the House.


Looking east in the south lot, you can see the garden shed.




The purple-and-white garden has tulips blooming.




These are white.




This tulip is pinkish-purple.




Many dandelions are blooming now.




This patch of wild violets has solid lavender along with blue-and-white.




In some of the bare patches, clover and grass seed is sprouting from the Bee Lawn Mix.




Looking west in the south lot, you can see the picnic table and septic garden.




The small pots have marigolds. The trough has wild strawberries.




These tubs cover more pots of wildflower seedlings.




This is the septic garden.




Grape hyacinths bloom around the septic garden. These are dark purple below and lavender above.




The 'Autumn Joy' sedum is getting tall.  It blooms in late summer.




Yarrow is sprouting in the septic garden.




Blue grape hyacinths and daffodils bloom at the edge of the forest garden.




The serviceberry tree is blooming at the west edge of the forest yard.




Here is a closeup of the serviceberry flowers.




The clove currant is not blooming yet.




A few forsythia flowers remain.




Another tree is blooming white in the forest yard. I think this one is a crabapple. It has gotten quite tall.

So beautiful. The flowers are wonderful. We have been having a cold snap so flowers are dying.

You’re plants are a couple of weeks ahead of ours; our forsythia is just starting to bloom and our lawn is nowhere as high as yours.

Part of the fun, for me, in a community like this is seeing the contrast of what's happening at the same time in far-flung places. :D
