Been out planting the hardy perennials I started earlier in the year;Snapdragon, Verbena, Dbl Blanketflower and a couple Rudbeckia cultivars and species. Rocky(my Ginger cat) behaved today and stayed within sight. Unlike a couple days ago where I had to chase him almost all the way to the dock. Needless to say he was banned from Outside for a couple days;>!
The perennials I planted last week(Echinacea, Agastache, Monarda) look good. The Spring flowers along my parking space are a bit messed up since SOMETHING is digging right along the concrete. Thankfully none of the plants(Pansy, Viola, Anemone, Crocus, Iris) were damaged. Maybe Squirrels looking for Fall Acorns and Walnuts they buried?
I figure next week some more of the Winter started seedlings will be big enough to start Hardening. Well, except the tender ones;>! I also have some Salvias I took cuttings from in Fall, though 'Amistad' didn't make it. I've 2 kinds of Dahlia I've started from seed that are just waiting for the weather to be warm. Already the potted one stored with my Amorphophallus has sprouted. Need to repot it.....
Cheers,
Pat
