I've had a standard red amaryllis since 2021 and have enjoyed starting it for the year as my winter solstice activity.  This December I decided to get a second one, and Tinkerbell caught my eye.  I had not heard of miniature amaryllis before.  The bulb is large, the bloom stalks (it has 2) and leaves are just a little smaller, but the flower is only about 4 inches across. I am completely enchanted with it.

Otherwise, recently I have been --

Repotting my indoor plants.  I like to do this around the start of February so it is out of the way when it's warmer and other projects are the focus.

Winter seed  starting.   I sink nursery pots into larger planters and cover them with a milk jug (the bottom is cut off) to protect any sprouts.  Starting more lavender, evening primrose, a second type of milkweed, showy partridge pea, edible climbing peas, tulips.  Tulips take at least 3 years from seed to bloom so this is a long term project.  My aunt picked seed pods off her dwarf tulips and we thought it would be fun to try.
