Had a few nights in the 30'sF. Not Freezing but low enough to "light a fire" under my fanny and get the Summering houseplants and tender Perennials(or cuttings thereof) into the house. Got a few Perennials planted (some Creeping Phlox 'Amazing Grace' and the usual Pansies and Violas). Getting the seeds I need to Stratify for starting next January so most with think their old enough to Bloom;>!
The Canadian Geese have been overflying the house for weeks and the Hummers are long gone(guess I should take the feeders down,eh?). Our local (Heron?) was out this morning during my walk. Got a few pics but none close enough with my old phone. I also "spooked" our local deer herd that was eating the front lawn;>....
Haven't felt like Halloween since Chuck had to go into Extended Living. He's doing better the last couple of weeks. Apparently, the tx they were giving him for COVID and then Pneumonia has helped him more than just those. Much more aware and remembers me again;>!
Rocky(our cat) is discovering that OUTSIDE is getting too cold for him; he runs out and then STOPS, then meow for me to pick him up nd bring him back inside;>. He's also abandoned me for a heated cat bed with the exception of a couple hrs before breakfast.....
Cheers,
Pat
