I posted pictures of my yard today. This batch has the most garden-related images, along with links to the other sets.

This final set shows the house yard, along with some flower gardens. See the Forest Garden, the South Lot, the West Edge, the Savanna, and the Prairie Garden sets.

A long flower garden grows along the west edge of the parking lot. The north end of the flower garden holds snowdrops.

The middle bed holds mostly tulips, along with some irises and peonies.

The southern bed holds daffodils.

These miniature irises have volunteered just beyond the south end of the flowerbed.

Forsythia is beginning to bloom at the northwest corner of the house yard.

This is the house yard looking southeast. It is technically the back yard, but it's the one we spend time in, so it functions more as a front yard.

This is the goddess garden. In summer it has a head-and-shoulders goddess statue.

Bronze crocus are blooming in the goddess garden. In the lower left, that little green umbrella is winter aconite just past its bloom time.

This is the house yard looking northeast. The big tree toward the left is a mulberry and the one on the far right is a black walnut. These are two of the most common tree species in the yard.

This is the rain garden under the downspout by the patio. It has crocus flowers and in the upper right corner a columbine is sprouting.

Purple and white crocus have flowers, but are closed in the cloudy weather.

grammarwoman: A purple tulip in Spring (Spring Tulip)

Beautiful! Spring flowers are my favorite; they're such a vibrant pop of color against the barren coming-out-of-winter landscape. I've got a few crocuses popping (though they weren't a fan of the below-freezing temps of earlier this week), and my forsythias are just starting to bud up. I'm pondering cutting a few branches for forcing indoors.
