Home Depot had plants in their gardening section this week! Needless to say (odd expression as I’ll say this anyway) we picked up a large assortment of tomatoes and peppers, and some eggplants. These are the veggies I’m struggling to grow indoors in time for planting time.

We had excellent results with Bonnie Plants last year.

I haven’t given up on my seedlings!
We have to keep all of these healthy for the month. Due to frost danger (and folklore) we typically transplant after the last full moon around Memorial Day, but that is actually June 5th so we’ll watch the forecasts.
I’ve gotten the fertilizer spread and tilled in. One set of soaker hoses is in place and the peas have been sown (double row- the second string is to mark the hose position).

And the asparagus is coming up! All ten plants show activity :D

Today I’m going to get some of the seedlings I started in baggies out and into peat pots.
