Yeah, me too. I think it really calls for watercolors, but could be done with pastels. You absolutely need something that will not only blend but make surprises on the paper. Hmm, or silk-painting or batik, especially wet-on-wet. But oil or acrylic would give too much control.

There are multiple variations from bush to understory tree size. That one is a small tree. It puts out fruit that greatly resembles blueberries. I am lucky to get even a handful before the birds devour them. So I've been planting more in hopes of eventually saturating the market. They can't eat all the mulberries because the yard is full of them.
