Variety? No idea -- I saved the seeds from peppers I bought from a market stall. At a guess I'd say they're likely to be a variation of Capsicum annuum var. annuum as that's the name which pops up on the gardening sites of peppers which are very similar to these (this is a UK site but I said to myself that if they failed this year I'd just go and buy these seeds as they're almost exactly the same).
I'm not doing anything special with them -- they're in reasonable-sized pots on a south-facing window (to my left as I type this, actually; they're in the room my computer is in). Good amounts of water and they've been left to their own devices pretty much. The middle plant is getting pretty tall -- the ones I'd have fruit from so far are about a foot tall, while the middle one is double their size.
