Since the contractors were still working until September, I didn't get a lot done beyond Planting Spring bulbs. Thanks to the mild weather I noticed today some of the Spanish Bluebells are stating to come up at least a month early.
So far the weather hasn't been that big of a change from NW Florida; Night Temps in the mid instead of High Teens and Snow twice(none lasting more than 48 hrs). Probably the biggest difference was Hard Freeze coming in November instead of January.
What I have learned is things I've noticed on my Walks(which should be easier since I got a fancy all terrain walker for Yule!). A couple weeks go I discovered one of my neighbors had a large patch of Hellebores(Lenten Rose) and I've always wanted to grow them WELL(they'd only bloom for me in Florida in the bad Winters). Also, Creeping Phlox is quite common as a groundcover, so I have some ideas for next month when I start ordering plants;>!
Cheers,
Pat
