a new factor in the gardening plans

Our third-floor neighbors had mentioned vaguely last fall when they moved in that they might want to do some gardening. We saw them the other day and they said they definitely do. This changes things. We now would have two young, strong people to do more heavy work than J and I could do. So that might be a factor in the war on bindweed.
We don't know what they want to plant, not yet. We will get together at some point and all talk about it. Maybe we split the bed in half. Or in thirds. Second-floor neighbors aren't interested, but maybe the middle third of the bed could be devoted to sedums and creeping thyme in a mutual effort to KILL THE BINDWEED, and then we each take an end third.
We (my wife J and I) already have a good set of gardening tools and will be happy to have the neighbor boys use them. There might be costs to share. Etc. etc.
This would be a nice way of getting to know the boys better. I do love a good neighborly project together.
