Right, so, people seemed to be interested in tomato reviews. Like I said before, I live in the California Bay Area; USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 9a/9b, Sunset Zone 15. These reviews are merely my experiences, so feel free to disagree if I have slighted your favorite tomato. ^_^

Lots of tomatoes under the cut! )

German Bearded Iris 'Titan's Glory'

I have a modest German Bearded Iris collection.

Ok, so 24 Irises isn’t really modest by some people’s standards}:P

It’s that time of the year where they start to bloom and I can see which ones need a little ‘help’ and which need to be split. Which will bloom for the first time since adding them and which still refuse to show off for me.

So far, ‘Batik’, ‘Saturday Night Live’ and one of my first additions, ’Titan’s Glory’ have bloomed.

‘Batik’ and ‘SNL’ were added 2 years ago, so seeing them bloom this year was great. ’Titan’s Glory’ was among the first 5 Irises I added to my garden when I first established it 10 years ago. It has never failed to bloom every season.

I have several, however, that have yet to bloom, despite large, healthy fans, and plenty of room. I won’t remove them, mind, because they are healthy. But I do wish they’d bloom at least once for me. Heh.

4 out of the 5 I added last season, are getting ready to bloom this season. That’s a record for me. Usually it takes 2 seasons before my new additions bloom. I can’t wait.
