YUM!!!!

So, today I was able to taste my 1st fresh Jujube. It wasn't fully ripe(fully reddish brown) but a bird had tested it and I didn't want to waste it. Think Apple brushed with Honey; crisp flesh though dry.
I'm growing the 'Soo' Jujube, which is a semi-dwarf cultivar. It is it's 2nd yr, 4' tall with shiny Green leaves on slightly weeping branches. Quite lovely....
Cheers,
Pat

Wow, I had no idea they were an actual fruit! I only knew about the candy named after them!

(And after reading the wiki entry I've even eaten them, but I only knew the Japanese name!)
