Harvest Season!

Not much of one compared to what I used to grow back at our old place but those few I do helps keep me aligned with the rhythms of the Earth.
After a decade and a half of searching getting slips and failing I FINALLY got some 'Okinawan' Sweet Potatoes. SOME being the operative word;>. 7 and only 2 were normal sized. Guess I'm like most folks who can't grow this one....
The last 4 Persimmons are almost Orange and ready to harvest. Can't Wait!
Cheers,
Pat

I remember the harvest threads you posted back then.

I'm now harvesting and canning tomatoes.

The butternut squash will be harvested after first frost, which may be two months away.

I have already picked hot peppers, garlic and both red and yellow onions.

Tomatoes grow abundantly out here. The roads are littered with hundreds of pounds of tomatoes which spill out of open trailers of trucks headed to the canneries.
